PEL2024-IP
A SETTING OF THE SANCTUS AND BENEDICTUS (LATIN TEXT) FOR SATB CHOIR, ORGAN AND SOPRANO SAXOPHONE.
This setting of the Sanctus and Benedictus is a companion piece to PEL2002 Agnus Dei (Winter's Dream). Glorious harmonies filled with the light of the angels. Beautiful melodic lines and interesting rhythmic features. Like PEL2002 Agnus Dei, this carries the unique ‘voice’ of soprano saxophone.
Commissioned by the Dr. Joe Hickman and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington Chamber Choir - 2000

Reviews
"Halley's music is profoundly beautiful but is, at the same time, very vocally friendly so that it is as pleasurable to sing as it is to hear sung." - Dr. Joe Hickman, UNC at Wilmington
