    'Amazing Grace'
    Amazing grace!
    How sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me!
    I once was lost
    But now am found,
Was blind but now I see.

    Words by John Newton

“’Trilogy’ here refers not to the individual tunes that are so magically blended, first sequentially and then simultaneously, but rather to the three sonic worlds that the tunes represent: Gregorian chant yields to the sounds of Africa before both are gloriously embraced by ‘Amazing Grace’. Halley’s vision of a world without boundaries is powerfully conveyed in a work that will continue to delight, inspire, and amaze after many repeated auditions.” – Jennifer Kolmes, The American Organist Magazine

RE: Freedom Trilogy "How about standing ovations at two services (that never happens with offertory anthems)??!! We combined our two adult choirs (Cathedral Choir & Celebration Choir), so had about 70 singers, and excellent guest musicians. It was truly a hit!" - David Link, Canon Precentor and Director of Music, Trinity Cathedral, Sacramento, CA
