PEL2094 "Beati Omnes Qui Timent Dominum" Psalm 128 was composed by Paul Halley for the occasion of his daughter Samantha's wedding in 2013. Warm and rich in harmonies, this beautiful composition evokes the promise of happiness and bounteousness in the text of the psalm - a mood of joy and loveliness.

Composed for Samantha Daborn Halley and Jonathan Suters in honour of their wedding, July 13, 2013.

    Beati Omnes Qui Timent Dominum

    Words: Psalm 127 – Clementine Vulgate
    Music: Paul Halley (1952 - )

    Beati omnes qui timent Dominum, qui ambulant in viis ejus.

    Labores manuum tuarum quia manducabis: beatus es, et bene tibi erit.
    Uxor tua sicut vitis abundans in lateribus domus tuae;
    Filii tui sicut novellae olivarum in circuitu mensae tuae.
    Ecce sic benedicetur homo qui timet Dominum.

    Benedicat tibi Dominus ex Sion, et videas bona Jerusalem
    omnibus diebus vitae tuae.
    Et videas filios filiorum tuorum: pacem super Israël.

    Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto;
    Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

    Translation:
    Blessed are all they that fear the Lord,
    and walk in his ways.
    For thou shalt eat the labours of thine hands: O well is thee, and happy shalt thou be.
    Thy wife shall be as the fruitful vine upon the walls of thine house;
    Thy children like the olive-branches: round about thy table.
    Lo, thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

    The Lord from out of Sion shall so bless thee, that thou shalt see Jerusalem in prosperity all thy life long.
    Yea, that thou shalt see thy children's children: and peace upon Israel.

    Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
    As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. Amen.
