A WORK FOR SATB CHOIR AND PIANO WITH OPTIONAL BASS, PERCUSSION, ORGAN, CELLO, AND SAX
PEL2042 Alleluias is scored for SATB choir and piano. Ideally it is performed with bass, percussion and organ as well, which bring out the exciting and insistent rhythmic sections that alternate with fluid melodic passages. A strong, lively, and rhythmic setting for a hymn of praise to Mother Earth, this fresh and striking work is perfect for Earth Day celebrations or inclusion in performances of Missa Gaia/Earth Mass. Soprano Sax and Cello Parts also available. It was originally scored as an instrumental work without chorus or text.
With alternate text, Surgens Jesus, this work may be used for Easter celebrations. Mater Dei text is suitable for the Feast of the Annunciation. See alternate texts below.
