A SETTING OF EUCHARISTIC PRAYER C (HOLY EUCHARIST RITE II) IN THE 1979 EPISCOPAL BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER

This setting, composed for the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, is for Celebrant (sung or spoken), congregation (including choir) and organ. The setting is designed to allow for a celebrant who is a good singer, or one who prefers to say the words. The organ part underlays the celebrant's words with changing harmonies that lead into the congregational responses. The Lord's Prayer is also set to to a simple chant-like melody.
